  1. Battlefield 2 Purechaos or BF2PC What is the mod about? Battlefield 2 Pure Chaos or BF2PC is a mod that will make you say "OMFG" Alot!. Changes in the 0.1 Beta are mainly for the USMC side but you will notice a few changes when playing as the PLA or MEC. I see a mushroom cloud, why and what is causing it? Its the NA or Nuclear Artillery, and dont worry, unless it hits right ON top of you, you will survive. With special thanks to SAC3R for allowing the use of his Effects, seeing the mushroom cloud rise up in the distance can be a awesome, or feared sight. With a deviation of 500, and a explosion range of 400, you will 60% of the time survive. What is the M249 Firing? Well rockets of course, the M249 has been renamed to the "RocketSaw", with a modified clip the RocketSaw is a valuable weapon for taking out pesky bots. And even better, the Support class also comes with the "Propulsion Shotgun" that allows you to fly across the map or launch yourself skywards in a instant. Propulsion Shotgun? Yep, this little beauty is a modified JackHammer shotgun with its recoil factor replaced with tank recoil and the recoil force boosted upto 1000. Just watch out above you when you "launch" yourself. Who is making the mod? Me, Myself and I. And i've been at it for ages. With several failed attempts and countless reinstalls, I have finally got a beta ready that can be played on version 1.0 of Battlefield 2. What has been in development lately? Ok, In the last 3 weeks, I have done the following. * Added a missile trail to the M1A1 Tank Rounds * Changed the MEC Baghira Pistol to fire exactly like how the M249 use to fire. * Modified all Grenade Launchers to fire a burst of 8 grenades and changed the color of the grenade trail to bright green. * Gave US Humvee and MEC Paratrooper's machine gun, explosive rounds. * Modified USATP_Predator to lock onto Aircraft and Helicopters What have you done to the mod so since you started? * M1A1 Tank can fire 3 rounds before having to reload, fire rate trippled. * Chat_eryx now acts like a Javalin missile, and even has a massive explosion to go with it. * Nuclear Artillery. Enough Said. (Might be changed yet.) * Explosive rounds for the M24 Sniper Rifle, Double zoom. * M249 Rocket Saw. * Propulsion Shotgun. * Anti-Ground Missiles (F35b has them) * Gravity Bomb. All US planes' bombs have been replaced by this beauty. When it detonates, it pulls every vehicle towards the detonation but causes no physical damage. * M67 Pineapple Grenade has the same explosion factor as the artillery once did. * Remington Shotgun fires flak rounds, perfect for taking out pesky helicopters. * HMG_134 (blackhawk chaingun) fires the same rounds as the ExplosivePistol. Ai also changed to fire at everything except boats. * Fine tuned Chat_eryx to fire 1 missile at a time. Ammo count raised to 50. * Ah1z now has the capability to target aircraft with Sidewinder Heat Seeking Missiles * T90 Tank can carry 2 passengers and has a mounted "ats_hj8" on its turret. It now acts like mobile artillery, fires a burst of 5 "rounds" per shot. * RIB_Boat's machine gun has been replaced by a HMG_134 Minigun. * SU34 Jet has a Igla_Djigit attached at the rear of the plane as pictured. It can carry 2 passengers and has a increased bomb count.
  2. Im not sure if theres a way to do this but id thought id ask. Now heres the situation. Every 5 seconds or so, the ai commander keeps telling my "squad" to attack a position over and over and over, even if i "decline" as well as "accept" the command. Is there a way to "Shut him up" without actually becoming a commander myself, or going "solo"?.

  4. I'm working on a SP mod where the bots turn into basically cannon fodder. Ive got a few changes that ive been told are funny. What im wanting to know is, is there any way to prevent the bots from calling artillery strikes down on you? Especially when you've got a good sniping/vantage spot. At the moment all i have is the radius of the shells at about 150 from the initial "Target" and the cannons only fire 1 shot. IF i can disable the bots from using the artillery... then i can make the Artillery how i want it... So yeah. The question again is... How do i stop/prevent the bots from using artillery.     First off i would like to know what defines the "Engines" for the missiles as im needing to add a delay to the ignition of the missiles engine itself after being dropped from the plane. Also in regards to the Drag factor. if i increase it, it should slow the missile down shouldnt it? What im wanting to achive is basically this.. Plane gets lock on target, Missile is dropped. Missile slows right down almost stopping, delay in engine start and missile flys towards target.. Any information that could help me would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

    at the moment im working on a variation of the "Precision strike" basically so far i have this. I created a "beacon" of sorts that looks like a smoke bomb.. when the smoke bomb explodes it creates a warhead 500 feet in the air right above the "target" and with gravity in effect.. well yeah you get the picture... I also made the "beacon" sticky.. Only issue is If its a fast vehicle such as the FAAV it can miss.. but still damage the vehicle... At the mo im trying to get it so it locks on via the laser targetting

    Im making a mod called BF2PC. And i would like to know what modifications to the artillery do the players prefer... I have made about 4 different types and im stuck on choosing one. The artillery's i have made are Nuclear Artillery (affects everything, vehicles/infantry/stationary weapons, reload is set to 10 minutes, 1 round takes out half a map worth of units) AntiGravity Artillery (throws objects around, only affects vehicles, 30 rounds, 40 deviation, explodes 20ft in the air, reload 5 minutes) Precise Hit Artillery (Used on stationary vehicles or campers, only fires 1 shot per cannon, reload is set very low so you can fire it every 10 seconds) MDES Artillery (Fires 50 rounds at a target with a deviation of 100 between each shot with the firerate set at 3, reload 3-4 minutes) Can i please have some comments on the type of artillery from the 4 above that you as a player would prefer..   10. Due to computer problems involving a faulty hard drive in which BF2 was installed on and had BF2PC on, BF2PC Has been restarted from scratch. Current Situations make it impossilbe to be working on BF2PC during the week and now will be produced during the weekend aka. less production and testing time.. Since reinstalling BF2 onto a seperate hard drive and redownloading the editor i have created 2 working items in the time i have had available. They are a FlareGun.. The Assault Class has these and they fire a red and grey smoke charge into the air that has a modified gravity setting that lets it float at a medium pace back to earth. And a new type of 50Cal rifle that you can change from Single Shot to Burst fire, It has improved zoom and the ammo can now destroy APC's with 4 "Burst Shots" and aprox 1 - 2 shots for the light vehicles such as the FAAV and the Vodnik. I am also looking for some help in making BF2PC in regards to coding. Please message me if interested.

    well im not quite sure on how you could set the timing so it would drop every 5 seconds but take a look for golden dragons tweaks.. in there he has a uav bombing run.. i guess you could change the uav to do the auctual "dropping" and change the radius so for example it would fly right around the island on wake 2007.. if placed in the center etc.. see what you can do.. may work..

    ok depends if you have version 1.0 or the latest patch with the visible UAV.. if you have 1.0 you would need to upgrade to the latest patch so you can use the geometry of the UAV. if you have the latest version do a search in the vehicles for "UAV" I used the J10 for my "RC UAV" as i only have version 1.0 of bf2,.. but its cool..
