  2. Now this bug, we have encountered many times, for some, for us unknown reasons, the effects brake down in the game as we added alot of custom effects made by me. Truely troubling is that each effect, individually works 100% in editor, as ingame, but these said good effects brake down beyond a point, regardless how they named, are they used on the map or not. The simptomes are the following -Missile Trail Flame texture randomly changes texture -Missile Trail Flame / Glow starts scale randomly and suddenly -Generic explosion FX not appear ( empty map, no other FX, activity ) This we encountered many times, we scrapped and rebuilt the effect directory of our mod by 3 times now, remove suspected effects that cause it, and remade them differently, yet this still comes back, and affects all effects, mainly projectile related ones as trails, and explosions. Now if some one knows the answer where to look the error, or what can cause this sevear brake down of many FX elements that individually works perfectly, named uniqely, with the right syntax, and its not an core issue of the BF 2142 engine, would be the biggest help to us, me especially, to finish our mod. Any ideas, help is welcome.
  3. Hello there, thoughed ask here, since we cant figure out whats wrong, basicly we working on a space battleship, an BC 304 from stargate. The ship have right now the following possitions. -Pilot -Railgun1 -Railgun2 -Railgun3 -Railgun4 -Railgun5 -Railgun6 -Railgun7 -AUTO_Railgun1 -AUTO_Railgun2 -AUTO_Railgun3 -AUTO_Railgun4 -AUTO_Railgun5 -AUTO_Railgun6 -AUTO_Railgun7 The turrets are in separate file, and we did add the autocontroller code line to it, the entire vehicle spawns for a specific team, you cant exit from the vehicle or enter from the outside, only spawn inside to it. Now any attempt so far to make the auto turrets work failed, even tried the recon drone simple fire plan, dosent fire a single bullet at all, dosent matter if i enter to the vehicle or not, approach it from the opposing team, simply the auto turrets inactive and sitting there as target dummies. The ship sits on a space map which is 16x16km sised and the start attitude 15000m. Any idea what could cause this inactivity, or how to fix it would be a huge help.

Haha thank you and of course already been tested ingame, on my older PC ( AMD 3.5 single core 3 GB 400Mhz DDR memory with ATi X1600 512 MB card ) looked perfectly fine, though it looks truely better on a map where the view distance is bigger ( 900-1000m ) =) And yes i need to blance it, for instant i had to reduce the ground smoke emitter already to get this, and will play a bit with the emit frequancies to optimalise the effect and be able to add some more detail, but i'm happy with this version, wasnt with the proveuse one, looks more what i wanna get ingame XD

  12. Been working on effects awhile, especially the nuke effect. And this one is quite a heavy fella, on the edge of max out particle counter, so will need to do some more optimalasing, and add more details, wont be easy, but getting there what i like to get as a result.   14. Hello We working on a few space maps on BF2142, and so my quastion is the following, is it possible to make an 10x10km combat zone? Hence, so far when i made higher then 2x2km combat zone, the BF2142 gose crazy, and you are unable to select a spawn point as the combat zone is compleatly messed up. And when dont use the said combat zone, that, in this topic, mentioned death sphere appear near to the edges Any tips, solutions to by pass these problams? Would be crushal for us. Ice4smaster
