    Intelligence Report In Renamed Levels

    I have tried that and also many other combinations,just cannot get the IR to show up at all. Essentially I'm just taking out the fog and extending the draw distance. I can do that to the default maps and it works great. But then you get a problem online with mismatches etc etc. So I rename the maps so no clashes,everything works except IR. I think I'll just have to accept defeat on the IR

Long time since any post in here but I know this site is still alive as someone just renewed the domain within the last 2 days I've used bergerkillers levelrenamer tool,works great but still a small tweaking to do to get it to show in game. Only problem I have now is there is no IR on the map loading screen. It just shows LOADINGSCREEN_MAPDESCRIPTION_new_map_name. I've played around with the .desc file and I can get it to show up but then the new map name does not show. What I have so far is rename the map.desc to the new map name and inside rename [name] new_map_name [/name] Someone said they edit their files manually and IR still shows. Any help or pointers greatly appreciated Thanks

    I use the 'total' and the MAP works great so I'll not mess 'Intelligence Report' is the info about the MAP your loading,the 'join game' screen. I'll try just the client rename and see what happens.

    Nice one Thanks Difference with renamer 1.35 is that there are no zip files now. Is it better to zip them up into 'client' and 'server' or leave as is? Also I can't get an 'intelligence report' to show up? the blurb with the map loading screen.

    Tried both 32bit and 64bit OS but LPP does not update. It generates a 'time out' error. fileave seems to be problematic as well? this link does not work http://bergerkiller.fileave.com/ the handy tool collection #1 downloads ok but #2 just downloads a html file? p.s your lostpirates link does not work also http://productions.lostpirates.co.uk/

    2142 Ai Modding

    I'm sure I've seen it mentioned somewhere but can't for the life of me 'find' it again. I would like to change the bots to be a bit more realistic. Problem I find is that they are absolute marksmen and can kill you far too easily. They 'see' you from a million miles away,even when your undercover. Plus I'm not totally sure what changing the bots 'skill' does to them? These are the 2 things I would like to change. I run our own server and we play coop maps so those are the bots I would like to change. Is this possible?

    Hmmmmmmmmmmm It only seems to have worked for Cerb Landing? ______________________________________ That was it It's set at 85 in Camp Gib. It seems it's a 'Global' distance view. Changed it to 1000 and BINGO Can see ALL of the Map now.

    Yep,there's 2 lines referring to fog... Renderer.fogColor 110.00/123.00/132.00 Renderer.fogStartEndAndBase 0.00/140.00/1.00/0.50 I'll change and test. Once again many thanks ___________________________________________ That works absolutely fantastic. I also tried the renderer.minCullDistance 10000 . OMG That worked!!! I can now see the whole map on Cerb Landing from the top of the tower I used it like this......... NORMAL renderer.globalStaticMeshLodDistanceScale 1 renderer.globalBundleMeshLodDistanceScale 1 renderer.globalSkinnedMeshLodDistanceScale 1 windManager.globalWindDirection 0/0/1 windManager.globalWindSpeed 0 TWEAKED renderer.globalStaticMeshLodDistanceScale 1 renderer.globalBundleMeshLodDistanceScale 1 renderer.globalSkinnedMeshLodDistanceScale 1 renderer.minCullDistance 10000 windManager.globalWindDirection 0/0/1 windManager.globalWindSpeed 0 I'll get some screenies to show ya.</p>

    wooot thanks Now it's installed. Just a few readme's to read then I can try. Wow,lots of readme's Which one do I need to read? Ok so far,kinda I've done this.......http://www.bfeditor.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=8419 Got 2142 into the editor. How do I load/edit the light settings map? Just so you know I have a newborn so reading tuts is hard because I just don't have the time. I type a question then run off hoping there will be an answer. I am trying self help reading tuts but ....... When I use 'level editor' and load Cerb Landing I get a 'failed to initgrid' ??? down at the bottom left it says something about no primary height map???
