Don't Have All The Plugins

Recommended Posts

I have recently installed gmax, installed the bf2 gmax 1.0b update, but I can't even make it throught the folowing tutorial:

http://bfeditor.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=12770

I made a new material using the bf2 staticmesh shader.

I want to select a base texture, but the .dds file isn't supported. What do I do now? :(

And when I look at the screenshot, I can see some tools are missing aswell, but I'm sure I have installed them. I can see the "bf2" tab in the right corner.

And: In the tutorial the material name is: mybox_material. The name of mine is "Mtl #7".

What do I have to install?

http://bfeditor.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=9648

Make sure to have the tools installed

Which tools? The bf2 gmax v1.0b tools Or other tools?

Could someone help me out? I really want to start moddeling some new objects.

Well, those are the tools alright. DDS isn't supported, but using any other format works fine too. When you export, it changes the path to a .dds, so it's all good. I make a copy in .tga format for modeling, and a .dds for the final export.

Thanks a lot! I did see a link on the topic to download the .tga version, but when I clicked it, It gave me a .DDS file.

A little confusing.

But, really much thanks ;););):P:lol:

Man, I must have bad luck...

Now "'Keyboard entry' rollout" is missing.

How do you turn it on?

Thanks, i fixed the wrong link in my gmax tutorial.

Note that gmax will not show the BF2 tools if you don't start it via the Tools package launcher or the shortcut i posted. If you simply start the gmax main program the BF2 tools are not included .

To read the gmax hints in the statics tut use a theme so that you can see text in green

Nah, it does show the icon of bf2. I only need to know how to start/open/enable the keyboard entry so I can change the size of objects. (like the size of a cube) I can't make it 10 by 10 by 10.
