Mod: Battlefield 2

Size: 1024x4, view distance is 1000m

Teams: USMC vs. PLA

Gamemodes: Co-Operative 64

Assets: J-10 and Su-30 for PLA, F18 and F15 for USMC, IGLAs and Stingers at bases

Description:

This is a very simple map I made and used for an experiment with navmeshing and decided to release it, since during the two and a half years since I've gotten into BF2 I posted lots and lots map bugs and issues I had :P but never anything about a map or even release one.

As you can tell from description, it's pretty much a jet only map, not sure why I kept the bombers since there's nothing to bomb except the main bases :P there's 3 spawn points for fighters, one for the bomber, jet spawn time is 5-10 seconds, each jet spawns 15 times (so 4x15=60 jets) for both teams.

There's two uncap main base flags and 3 flags to capture, each flag has 400m radius (so enough space to cap without flying in a tight circle around it), holding all 3 causes ticket bleed for the opposing team.

Bugs and Updates

Please PM me here on this forum with any bugs or map crashes you encounter, if its going to be possible to add any new booster pack jets after the 1.5 patch I'll release an updated map including them.

Mod usage:

I allow anyone to include this map in their mod as long as I'm credited somewhere. Editing the GPO, teams and kits to suit your needs is allowed, anything else isn't. If you'd like to discuss an edit, PM me.

Forgot to add, the flight ceiling is at 5000m so you can safely fly into the skies without losing control :P and there's a vehicle drop available in form of boats

also I recommend putting the AI difficulty to maximum when playing the map, it doesn't make the bots more "wtfpwn" in terms of dog fighting, but does prevent jets crashing into each other and other silly stuff. A cool thing that happened while I was playing the map today on max settings was one of the F18s hunting me down after I broke away from a dog fight and went to rearm my J10 :(:D

Putting up an alternative (download limited :( ) dl on Rapidshare, once I'll get the final version out, I'll upload it to Fileplanet and submit it to BF SP as well.

I see now.. The map has good sea bottom, all the dice's maps have flat ones... Perfect for a sub. Be-12 from AIX vs. SSS-753 from NaW on this map... Mmmm.... :P

The map has one great problem: no SP gamemode. I was trying to add it myself, no results tho. Anybody?

In the map .desc file include the lines for the SP mode (also include the player="..." for the different map sizes, I only use 64 players, so take this as a template):

In the server.zip include the folders sp1, sp2, sp3 in the GameModes folder with the appropiate map size. You can take the AI folder and Gameplayobjects.con from the gpm_coop folder.

Here's a small 1km map I've been working on, I thought I'd release it soon, but it could use more detail and such, so it'll stay on my HDD for now :P

The short comical story behind the name:

Months ago MEC agents have stolen recipes for candy and cakes from hidden locations around Europe. EU, furious with being unable to produce tasty goods dispatched its forces to Middle East under the codename Operation Yummy. As part of an operation named Candy Bay EU forces are diverting to a small bay on the coast of Mediterranean Sea to recapture some of the recipes. The MEC hold the advantage, but can EU's newest equipment handle them?
