Two Questions About Bf2 Mapping

Recommended Posts

well about the vehicles: i think that infinite but you have to think further when you could make your map being laggy... dont be that generous and have just the average.

editing map scale: you edit your map scale by creating the new map. When you write your map name there is size and scale. If you have for example 1024 size and scale 2 you will get 2048 m big map..that means for having 4x4 you need to make it like this: size 1024 and scale 4. But watch out its pretty big map. That doesnt seems to e but it is trust me. And you would find it out when you will make the lightmaps or so something. And you can always edit in LEDT or any other tool for making heightmaps. :)

Hope I helped,

You can have 1024 networkables at a given time on a map. Anything higher will crash the server.

Networkable = moving thing. Bullets, vehicle, player, projectiles, flag, etc.

I guess not, since it has no networkable info set.

I guess the information of a player location and where it shoots at a player is sent instead.

You can check it for yourself; any template that has the following line:

ObjectTemplate.setNetworkableInfo BasicInfo

Is counted as one of the networkable template.

Usually templates like effects, particles and sound are not networkable.
