I'm not into client side modding, but how hard would it be to come up with a patch that would install replacement files into a game client, to change one of the player character models (say "Recon", the sniper class) to a girl? . Or just skip the patch, and create the drop in replacement files. Would doiong this on the client side break any md5 checksums and piss off punkbuster on the client side? . Of course, only those that installed these replacement files, would see said character in game as girl.. anyone else with an unmodified client would still see the default stock model. . I'm just throwing the idea out there, for someone else to take a shot at it... I don't think its ever been done before anywhere in the BF series... though I could be wrong. Is the format identical? mega shoot them to me... I was thinking a bit more um clothed.... I'm getting tired of looking like this guy in game... http://battlefieldinformer.com/gallery/files/1/battlefield_2142_wallpaper_by_namelessdesigns_original.jpg I mean, he just doesn't look like me.... at all... pfft! Do you see an similiarity between me an him? http://air-war.org/choppergirl_0000.jpg exactly... Too bad there isn't a way to make bots be one set of character models... and real players be another... my drone robotic T3 army would be complete, like in your photo... ;-) https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTQW3ddg5LNS4JPi3HHhZqKkziXbiqZ2tLdpbBTojct1GJ882lctQ Edited April 30, 2014 by cobrachoppergirl
Coronaextra 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) There is a fairly cheap program on steam called Fuse that can quickly create female characters. Mixamo's rigging and animation system is based on BIPED and I don't know if that could be converted to work in Bf2, but the mesh's could certainly be skinned to the existing BF2 Rig. Anyways, it is a viable solution for those of us that don't have the artistic ability to create and animate custom characters. I know I've found it useful in my UDK/UE4 projects. :-) Edited May 12, 2014 by Coronaextra
