Bf2 Editor Cannot Generate Lightmap Atlas For Certain Map

Hello,

Please, can someone help me with this problem? - I was generating lightmaps for a map - everything was okay but when it asked me if I want to check for obsolete object lightmaps and I clicked yes, it failed.

I tried it multiple times but the result is always the same.

I was looking for some solutions on bfeditor forums but I couldnt find the right one.

It would be great if you could help me,

The map uses some SF and some Euro Force objects, do you think it may be the problem?

When you say it failed, what exactly does that mean? The editor crashed? Did you get an error message?

The editor cannot lightmap objects it does not have samples for, like the expansion packs objects you mention. If it attempts to lightmap an object without samples, it will fail and sometimes crash. I don't of anywhere you can get samples for these but you can generate them with Meshview.

Also, you can try forcing an atlas build by going to Compile>Lightmaps>Generate Atlas Lightmaps. After that go to your maps lightmaps folder and see if it actually created an atlas and updated the lightmapatlas.tai file.
