[RESOLVED] UN Vehicles

I am playing the AIX2 mod and noticed that some of the vehicles are painted white with "UN" on them.  I looked in the server.zip, thinking I would find a different vehicle name, but the vehicles are just the regular vehicle (for example, the hummer is "usjep_hmmwv" which is the same name used in other maps and mods when the vehicle shows up as the regular vehicle)

So my question is, which file and what syntax causes the vehicle to show up with a different skin (white with UN on the side)?

After some more digging I found that in the Objects_client.zip under the vehicles, there are variation dds files.  There is a UN variation, a woodland variation and a desert variation. 

What I am trying to figure out is, which file contains the instruction to choose the variation for each map.  I figured it would have to be a per-map setting because in some maps the vehicle has the UN variation, and in other maps, it has the woodland, etc....

Since you were so very helpful, I would like to ask a follow-up question.

I have one vehicle that doesn't respond to the CustomTextureSuffix.  Even though there are textures in the folder, it just displays with the default skin.  (It's  jep_paratrooper)

Is there a setting somewhere to make vehicles follow the custom texture suffix?
