Need A Little Help Please

Ive just made my fist ever map, i created my own lan server, my map loads and it crashes to desktop half way, ran the bf2_r i get a Failed to laod effect: staticmesh.fx staticmesh.fx(2) :error x1507: failed to open source file: mods\xpack\shaders\datatypes.fx, then i get BF2 ERROR, debug assertion failed! version 1.1.2453.0 build date 2006-8-18 18:27 module renddx9 file C:\ dice\projects\bf2\code\bf2\renddx9\shadermanager.cpp line:155 experssion: pd3dxeffect text: failed to load shader:/staticmesh.fx current confile call stack: only avaible in debug builds then i press continue and i get another bf2 error, experson pd3dxeffect text: effect is null

Well the whole idea of the new editor is that you dont get those errors anymore. Uninstall it and reinstall with the very latest version, im sure its in the announcements section somewhere. IF you keep getting these errors no matter what (Which is in fact worng but ok), download the shaderfix if it still exist, that should be somewhere aorund here too.

After all them errors the game statts to load up but then as i choose my account, another error message comes up and says text failed setting logical cull on node squadleaderrequest4 invalid i keep getting this about 6..7 times then about vecial drop

then i tryed my ofline account done the same thing it now syasdebug assertion failed version1.12878-710.0 build date 2006-8-18- 18:27 active object template: S_wind module game file d:dicecanada booster pack 2 code bf2 game maplist.cpp line 159

expression index >=0&&

Remeber th unsigned index < m_maplist sizeis is my first ever map for Bf2

did you check all the boxes in mod/mod manager? Its on the top right of the editor...

and what have you added to the map... any of the effects...smoke,water,fire etc?

or any undergrowth,overgrowth? And did you check any extra boxes when you saved your map

and have you packaged it?

If you want to uplaod your map to filefront... ill take a look at it... CB

Hmm yeah the lightning.fx . The fix was from Before DICE had put it in so it isnt included. Open up the original shaders and extract lightning.fx and another one, the game will tell which on if it cant find it :). Then put the file in the "fixed" one. Once again, this shouldnt be neccassary when you have the very latest editor
