Stalker2200
I've made a separate mod file to get this to work, but I assume it should be much easier. I do some of my tweaking directly through the files and some through the editor. However, to get the changes in the editor to take effect, i have to package the mod. When i package the mod, it overwrites the changes I've made by hand (thus, I made a new mod folder for bfeditor changes) it should be easier than this (i assume) what am i doing wrong? mschoeldgen[Xww2]
Normally, when your hand edited files don't cause an error the editor doesn't try to interfere with your handedits. Only when opening a resource with the object (or animation) editor, the editor takes a 'closer look' and tries to bring in a new order. Maybe you should try an alternate way of packing your mod. Use Rexman's packing tools : http://rex3d.net/bf2/files/tools/packing/ If the problem persists post a detailed description of want you want to change and where it fails. junk
Also, if you're just editing objects and their properties, go ahead and do your handedits, but then just save the file and go to the editor and click "refresh geometry" and it should update to your new changes. Oh, and definitely stick with mschoeldgen's suggestion and handpack your mod always with the rexman tools. Never let the editor do it. It doesn't fail, it just does the whole entire thing everytime and you only need that if you go in and change at least one of everything. Not necessary since 99% of the time, you're only changing one thing.
